5_Ways_to_Keep_Your_Staff_Motivated_and_HappyDo you have the Monday blues? Are you having a bad day at the office? We all have an off day once in a while. What can you do to keep your staff motivated and happy? Liberty Staffing is an agency which staffs office, warehouse, and industrial positions. If you are a client of ours, we would like to offer you some tips on ways that you can keep your staff motivated and happy.

1. Build a Positive Work Atmosphere

It doesn’t always have to be all work and no play. To keep your staff motivated and happy, build an upbeat and positive work environment. How can you create a positive workplace atmosphere? Have an open door policy. Ask your employees of their plans for the weekend. Tell a joke here and there. Concentrate on the good things that are happening in the office. Be enthusiastic and set a good example for your staff.

2. Make Breaks Mandatory

Many employees believe that working through their break or lunch will result in more work being completed. While this work ethic is admirable, employees who work through their breaks are more prone to “burn out”. This is not desirable. Make breaks mandatory in your workplace. Breaks give your employees a chance to refuel and keep a fresh, upbeat state of mind throughout the day.

3. Plan Social Events for the Company

A great way to build a good relationship with your employees is to plan social events for your company. You can plan a dinner at a restaurant, a summer barbeque, or a Halloween costume contest. Hold team building exercises at these events. Initiating fun events like these throughout the year will bring your team closer together.

4. Provide Positive Recognition

Don’t forget to let your team know that they are doing a great job. Praise them on a job well done. Receiving positive feedback makes employees feel good, and it will inspire them to continue to do great work.

5. Offer Incentives and Credit Great Work

Whether it’s a simple thank you note, or a free coffee, rewarding your team when it is due is key in keeping them motivated and happy. The rewards don’t have to be anything extravagant, just something here and there to express your gratitude. It shows that you appreciate all of their hard work. You can also hold friendly contests and offer awards to keep motivation levels up.
