3-Unexpected-Benefits-of-Partnering-with-a-Staffing-Firm.jpgThere’s a whole host of great reasons to partner with a staffing firm as a means to solve your staffing problems, many of which can benefit your company greatly. While the convenience and the reliability of a staffing company are the most obvious benefits, there are three more benefits which aren’t as widely recognized, but which are very persuasive.

1. Time Saver

You may think that sitting down and taking care of the hiring process yourself is the most efficient way of dealing with staffing, but the opposite is actually true. It’s easy to get caught off guard with sudden vacancies or with projects that suddenly expand and need more support.

In order to fill vacancies quickly, you need to sit down and go through hundreds of applications, interviewing and vetting prospective candidates before they land the job. A staffing firm has already taken care of all these aspects of the hiring process. Any candidate represented by a staffing agency has been thoroughly vetted beforehand, comes highly recommended, and is able to get to work immediately. Whereas the position only opened up recently for your company, the staffing firm has already been working tirelessly on cultivating a strong candidate pool for just these types of situations.

2. Better Work Environment

One of the most overlooked and undervalued part of the hiring process is the cultural fit of the candidate. Studies have shown that healthy, collaborative work environments are an essential part of any vital business.

Individuals who find themselves working with people they respect and whose company they enjoy working for tend to work harder and commit themselves to the company more fully.

Lack of cultural fit is also one of the biggest reasons why new hires don’t work out. While you may not think that a staffing firm would be the solution to this problem, it’s one of the unexpected benefits of pairing with one! Staffing agencies make it their mission to understand your company inside out. They’ll interview you, they’ll come observe the office environment, and they’ll familiarize themselves with procedures. All of this information helps them inform their search for a candidate who will be the right fit for your corporate culture. If someone they represent wouldn’t adapt easily to your workplace, they’ll know and make sure that you don’t end up in a situation where you find out too late that the fit isn’t right.

3. Less Turnover

Not only is this one of the most unexpected benefits of partnering with a staffing firm, it’s also one of the most cost-friendly benefits. Part of the reason that there’s less turnover with employees found through staffing agencies is because of the reason given above. Hires who are pre-screened by the staffing agency to determine whether they’d be a good fit are far less likely to leave because of irreconcilable approaches to work.

There are other factors that drive the lower rates of turnover as well, however. Most staffing firms test essential skills, which in turn means that you get an employee who has a more finely honed skill set.
