5_Things_to_Do_Before_You_Head_into_a_Job_Interview.jpgInterviews can be nerve-wracking, but they don’t have to be. If you are prepared well in advance of your interview, there’s no need to be anxious. Are you headed into an interview? Liberty Staffing would like to provide you with some tips to help you prepare. After all, an interview mistake could decrease your chances of landing the position.

1. Print Your Resume

It’s important to bring multiple copies of your resume to the interview. There may be more than one person interviewing you, so be sure to print off multiple copies, just in case. Having physical copies of your resume will be good reference for the interviewer.

2. Read Over the Job Advertisement

Before you head into the job interview, be sure to re-read the job advertisement that you applied to. It’s good to refresh yourself on what responsibilities are entailed in the position before you head into the interview. While in the interview, you can ask further questions regarding the job that may not have been addressed in the advertisement.

3. Dress to Impress

First impressions are everything when it comes to interviews, so make sure to dress to impress. Wear professional clothing the day of your interview. It’s a good idea to prepare what you will wear for your interview the day before.

4. Research the Company

A very important thing that every candidate should do in preparation for an interview, is to research the company/business beforehand. The interviewer will appreciate that you have taken the time to find out what the company is all about. It also shows the employer that you are hardworking and dedicated.

5. Have References Handy

Be prepared to offer references to the interviewer. At the end of most interviews, potential employers usually ask for a list of contacts that they could reach out to as references. Have two or three references handy.
