Many of our employment opportunities (particularly warehouse and industrial jobs) require that you have safety boots or safety shoes. It is always important to be safe while on the job. Liberty Staffing would like you to start off on the right foot by providing you with some information regarding safety boots and safety shoes. Here are some questions commonly asked by our associates regarding safety boots and safety shoes.

What are safety boots/shoes?

Safety boots/shoes, also known as “work boots”, are footwear that protects the foot from falling objects, compression, or punctures. Safety boots/shoes have a steel-toe and are usually combined with a sole plate. Safety boots/shoes help protect your feet from severe injuries.

Why do I need safety boots or safety shoes?

Liberty Staffing Services has a lot warehouse and industrial employment opportunities. These jobs often require light and/or heavy lifting, and the use of tools and machinery. Employees working in a warehouse or industrial position must always take the necessary precautions to keep themselves safe while on the job.

How much do safety boots/shoes cost?

The cost of safety boots/shoes varies by department store and brand. It also depends on whether you need to purchase safety boots or safety shoes. Generally, safety shoes are cheaper than safety boots.

What’s the difference between safety boots and safety shoes?

When distinguishing between safety boots and safety shoes, look closely at whether or not the footwear covers your ankles. Safety boots usually come up to the middle of your calf, covering at least your ankles. Safety shoes look more like a shoe and do not cover your ankles.

Do I need boots or shoes to perform my job?

Liberty Staffing Services will let you know whether you need boots or shoes for the job assignment. If you are unsure of whether you need safety boots or shoes, please contact Liberty Staffing Services prior to the start of your scheduled shift.

Does Liberty Staffing provide safety boots or safety shoes to employees?

We do not provide employees with safety boots and/or safety shoes. You must be willing to purchase safety boots or safety shoes on your own if you are assigned a position that requires them. We will not place you out to work at a warehouse or industrial job if you do not agree to attain the required safety boots or safety shoes.

I can’t afford safety boots/shoes. Can I still go to the job?

Safety boots/shoes are a job requirement - Liberty Staffing Services will not place you out to work in a warehouse or industrial setting if you do not have safety boots/shoes. Your safety is important to us.

I’m looking for an office job. Will I need safety boots or safety shoes for an office position?

Generally no, you will not need safety boots or safety shoes for an office position. Most office positions do not involve dangers to the body. However, if the office position requires you to visit a warehouse or receiving area, you may need safety boots/shoes. Please note that attaining employment which does not require safety boots/shoes does not mean that you should be carefree and unsafe while on the job.

Start your new job off right with the correct footwear. If you have further questions regarding safety boots or safety shoes, please contact Liberty Staffing Services. Our offices are open Monday to Friday, from 8am to 5pm.
